What Is Visa on Arrival (VOA)?
A Visa on Arrival (VOA) is a visa that is issued for citizens of specific countries upon their arrival in Indonesia.
In addition, foreigners do not need to gain a visa from an Indonesian Embassy abroad. They can get this VOA when landing at certain airports and seaports in Indonesia.
To get this VOA, a visitor should meet some specific criteria, such as country of origin, time frame, specific reason for entering Indonesia, and the length of time for which you have held the passport
Furthermore, the Visa on Arrival is not a visitation visa nor a work visa, so that you cannot convert to obtain other immigration permits.
The Validity Period of VOA
This VOA allows foreigners to visit Indonesia for 30 days, not 1 (one) month. The count begins upon arrival in Indonesia and ends on the day of departure.
The VOA can be extended for a maximum of another 30 days. Note that 7 (seven) working days prior to the expiration date, you should start extending your visa in the immigration office in person.
